EN 13432 is the European standard of compostability, products certified these have passed multiple test criteria. On successful completion of all testing products are then certified compostable and the seedling or OK Compost logo can be used to identify these products. When the seedling or OK Compost logo is used to identify products a traceability number must also be printed, this helps you know which products legitimately meet the EN 13432 standard. It also reduces confusion around compostable products and helps your composter rest easy that the products you send them will breakdown as expected.
